Can someone help clear up my confusion because the internet is not helping.
Which states accept the ADEX? And now that CRDTS doesn't administer the ADEX anymore, do the states that previously accepted ADEX as CRDTS not accept the ADEX anymore?

From ADLEX (CIF format, Class of 2010) candidate manual, page 6:

NERB Member States and Jurisdictions that Accept the ADLEX Examinations: These NERB member states and jurisdictions include: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia. (New York is a member of NERB but does not currently accept the ADLEX Examination for licensure).

Recognizing Jurisdictions: The NERB and Nevada have adopted the American Dental Licensing Examinations (ADLEX) approved by the ADEX as the NERB and Nevada Clinical Examinations in Dentistry. As of April 20, 2009, in addition to the NERB states above, the following states also accept the ADLEX for licensure in their state: Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia,Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. For the most up-to-date information contact the state dentalboard directly. Arizona may accept the results of the clinical examinations on a year-to-year basis upon application by a candidate.

I believe 42 states accept the ADEX now. You should check with the individual state you are applying for licensure to make sure they are accepting ADEX.
