White Coat Ceremonies mean different things to different students. What are your views regarding this ceremony? Are classes generally canceled on days in which the ceremonies are held?

It was a pain in my ...... I personally didn't think it was a big deal. Some people probably did. It was more of an excuse for family to come visit for the weekend. I much would have rather been somewhere else on a Sat during football season.

Some take this ceremony seriously and it's a great time and transitional period for us in becoming professionals, but my parents and myself are waiting for the graduation ceremony when I have the real degree. 👍

best thing about it for me was the family coming into town to visit....was a nice and memorable experience though

Temple has ours in the second semester of the second year. It's in the afternoon. It's a smaller affair for us, but for us, it signals a new type of learning; patient contact. Although it is a few months after the ceremony that you actually go to clinic.

I appreciate all of your responses!
