This isn't the right forum for this discussion (PRE-pod), but I'm posting it here because there is usually a fair number of pod students/graduates that frequent this forum anyways.

Do pod schools have white-coat ceremonies?

And maybe as a follow up for those 3, 4, and graduates: Do you wear a white coat on a daily basis or not? At one pod practice I shadowed at they wore white coats (they were sort of pompous though...), but at the other (a group practice) no one did. Is this typical?
 
Depends on the school. Some are a few weeks in, some are at the end of second year. I probably wore mine less than ten times the first two years. People have different opinions on when they should be given out. I think it is nice to have them early but I think a ceremony at the beginning is unnecessary since nothing has
yet been earned..
 
yes, there are WCS at pod schools. I just found out that we start clinicals the summer of 1st yr and not second and differnt sites require it. Some sites list the coat as optional.
