If I could do things over, I would have told my letter writers that I needed letters in a month instead of the truth (that applications weren't due until early next year).

Of the three people I asked, one finished his letters within 48 hours. The other two have been working on them, but they don't seem eager to wrap things up.

I was in exact same situation - one finished her letter within 48 hours, one in about 2 weeks, but my pchem prof submitted it right before the Nov 1 deadline so I couldn't e-submitt my application untill October 30th even though I was pretty much done with everything else.🙁

Once again the exact same situation, one was finished in 48, the other is still coming..... At first I wasn't sweating it because U.F. SAYS they don't start looking at applications until January, HOWEVER I've seen on here where people are already getting interview invites! So I dropped him a friendly reminder a few days ago.
