For those who have submitted their application and transcripts this week and have had them received by AADSAS, has anyone already had their GPA verified? Just curious...if so, how long did it take?

This is my second year to apply. Had some problems getting a transcript scanned into my AADSAS account last year so my application was delayed 🙁 . But, I can tell you it took 4 weeks for them to calculate my AADSAS GPA. I've talked to other students who were accepted last cycle and their GPA calculations took anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. Hope this helps.

this is what i've heard as well, however some people on sdn have been claiming that their GPA's have already been verified, which is why i've posed this question. Thanks for your insight...btw, did they notify you that your application would be delayed, or did you call and suddenly find out your app was being delayed...how did that work?

Hopefully it won't take too long to calc the GPA.

saw my gpa verified yesterday (23rd)

but it's got some errors, categorizing my sci courses as non sci, as a result it looks like my sGPA is lower than it should

i've let them know about this, hopefully it only takes a very short period of time to fix this

so if your gpa is verified will the schools send your application assuming all lors are received? I'm assuming the longest part of the application is getting your transcript verified?

Oh my gawd... that was like SOOOO last cycle. 😴 I think mine was verified in just a couple of weeks. I didn't check out my transcripts before sending and I put that I received a B+ in physics 2. I guess I got an A- in actuality and AADSAS caught my error. It kicked my cGPA up over that tenths place mark.

so you entered your own courses wrong? or did AADSAS correct the categorizing of classes for you. i know they will fix GPAs and # of credit hours, but will they go in and fix/edit other sci/non-sci/BCP stuff?

the woman @ AADSAS told me that they will make any corrections and go ahead and send our your application without notifying you of changes.

hrm. how did you know that they calculated your sci courses as non sci?
oh btw. i e submitted my applicaiton on may21st and got my gpa verified the next day. I sent in my transcript a couple days before e submitting.....

AADSAS modified the categorizing of classes for me.

I have a bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
However they categorized my cs courses as non-science.
As a result, I only have a limited number of science credits for my bachelor of science degree

this, in turn, affected my sGPA and non-s GPA(even though it doesn't affect the overall GPA)

I found this out myself. Long story short, I had to send the transcript 3 times before AADSAS posted it to my account. In fact, all 3 from the same school were scanned in the same week! It's wise to stay on top of things because it can really cost you! AADSAS isn't foolproof and as you can see from some of the other posts they make mistakes. In all fairness, they catch some as well. As for me, I will be checking my application every day and will call them prn to verify or ask questions when appropriate.

to my knowledge, AADSAS won't do anything until you submit your application and pay the fees completely. I guess they just receive whatever you sent them to.

Transcripts showed up a couple days ago. Submitted yesterday around 4pm MST. GPA was verified when I got back from lunch today....and it is low...er than I thought it would be.

The way they calculate the AADSAS GPA (quality points and semester hour system) seems to, by default, lower people's GPA. I wasn't suprised, since i had made an excel sheet using AADSAS's way of calculating GPA, and if anything my GPA was higher than what I had in my spreadsheet.

oh and my gpa was verified a few hours after i submitted my application 👍 👍 👍

what's up with people's GPAs being lower than they expect? Are you guys all getting GPA's w/ +/- as well as GPA's w/o? I think that is the only main discrepancy in what we think it should be and how it's calculated.

My verified GPA's were the same as what I'd expected for all categories. I think it helped that my school uses the most common semester-based A/B/C/D/E grading system. There were really no conversions to do.

I wouldn't worry about, I had UofT mail mine out last thursday as well and aadsas hasn't received them either. It just takes longer from here 🙁

Dont worry, you're still early just mail it whenever you get done. I think anything before june 15th is early!

If there is a discrepancy with your transcript, does AADSAS leave a comment anywhere so you know what happened or are you left in the dark? Obviously, in this case it helped you out, but in general, would they notify you somehow if there was a change made?

For some reason they changed them to non-science, which messed up my sGPA. I talked to them and they said they'd look into it. I'm hoping it gets fixed before they send out my application.

i have 51 credits that should be other-sci instead of non-sci😡

How did you know they changed it? Did they leave a comment? Or is it just changed in the coursework and you had to look for and notice the changes yourself?

I noticed that my sGPA was lower than last year when I applied. So, I looked for which classes had been changed.

For grades and credits you can see what they changed by going to Print, Coursework, and looking in the Verified Grade and Verified Credits columns. If there's nothing in there, they didn't make any changes.

FYI, this is the response I got from AADSAS about this. It actually only took them a day to respond by email.

Go to Status, AADSAS GPAs, if there's stuff there, it's been verified. It you haven't submitted yet, it won't be verified. You have to pay them first.
