Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you were acquiring an MPH for some specific ends? I'm just curious as to what exactly one does after getting an MPH and what doors it will open up.

Thanks.

Program planning and evaluation. Administration. Research. Acting as a resource person. Health Education. Biostatistics. Epidemiology. Environmental and Occupational health. Policy. Maternal and child health. Socio-behavioral health. Global health...

Cause I wanna be a health researcher figuring out what factors lead to disease at the people level. Simple as that. The MPH (and PhD in my case) let me actually do the career I want since there's no true undergraduate-level education in it.

I got my MPH because I wanted to strengthen my skills related to population health and disease management. I had a strong interest in public health informatics and I feel like the future of public health will revolve around information technology.
