Ok, I think I should go back to work again 😀

You'd be amazed how many different treatments you might get from different doctors for the same condition. I mean if its a common condition, then yes it will be straight forward (ie, strep throat) same as dentistry (ie. cavity). But some conditions are not so straightforward and the doctors might mistake it for something else. This happened to my sister, every doctor tells her a different story. They actually presented her case at a conference. (not a serious illness or anything at all, thank god )

I probably wouldn't be surprised because I worked in research in a hospital for 3 years with MDs who were treating patients...not saying I'm an expert. I am NOT. However, MOST of the time MDs aren't dealing with extraordinary cases. Of course it is subjective, but therapies often seem pretty standard to me.

My MD (Family Practice) won't even make a diagnosis of hypertension or asthma without sending patients to get an echo or to an allergist respectively 😉

Thank you for your responses.

One thing i notice that us predents are more supportive of each other than premed. We give each other advice and help each other out at my school; whereas premed they are so competitive with each other at my school that i want to slit their throat.
