In my experience in high school and in undergrad it was very clear that a large percentage of Asian-American students performed very well academically. While other ethnic groups, Latino-American students for example, had a significantly lower percentage of people doing well in school.
Is this difference mostly a cultural issue? Socioeconomic? Both? (I have noticed that Latino-American students that do very well in school tend to be from the middle class, or higher).
