Can someone explain to me why the equivalence point doesnt always equal 7? If it is the point where the number of equivalents are equal, why wouldnt it be 7?

Imaging a weak acid HA. Equivalence point is when HA is completely converted to A-. Since we know the conjugated base of a weak acid is a relatively strong base, all that A- has to make to solution basic.
