Anybody have the link to that one Stanford med student's long essay as to why he loved Stanford? I remember reading it about a month ago, but I can't remember in what thread it was linked, and the search function didn't seem to find it for me. Thanks...
The downside: It's in California, good luck ever getting in.
And I found it pretty funny that the author mentions that the med students get to wear long coats.
I think it would be a lot less embarassing to wear a short coat than be asked to do something a doctor, not a medical student, would normally be asked to do and try to explain to a patient that you're not actually a doctor.i don't think they have in-state preference. just one more way poor californians get the shaft . . .
yeah, seemed a bit silly. i guess it's probably less embarassing on the wards, though.
