Currently taking two CS classes, Algorithms and also Computation Theory and was wondering if they count as math under the category of "applied math" or Computer Science. They're both offered by the CS department and not the math. Obviously it's much more theory and CS based but there's still some algebra you have to do for inductive proofs etc. I have a 3.91 science gpa but don't want to risk lowering it with these classes, so if AMCAS will make them math classes and count towards BCPM, I'll drop without a W until tomorrow which is the deadline

If you classify the classes as math when applying then they might keep them as math, but if you classify them as CS then I doubt they'll be changed to math/BCPM.

Yes. I classified it as math, and they didn't bother to change it. They don't look closely. If you classify it as engineering/comp, they will leave it as engineering/comp.
