I've interviewed at several schools, but no acceptances yet. How much damage will getting a "C" this semester hurt my chances of getting in?

Grades will be out dec 15th, and I have to send transcripts to schools in Jan. Adcoms don't meet again until Jan 15th or so. When they see I got a C this semester are they going to junk my application??

I have a 3.6 gpa/3.5 sci gpa and 20/22/20 on the DAT. This semester has been terrible for me. I've got lots of excuses...Wife was sick due to pregnancy (several trips to Dr. and hospital). Had to move apartments in middle of semester. Missed several days of school due to interviews. Really no good excuses, really I just struggle with analytical chem. Bottom line I'm getting a C- in analytical chemistry. I've NEVER got a C before! Will this show a downward trend? I've got 160+ credits so it won't really hurt my GPA.

Or detrimental. I don't think you need to worry with your stats. And one C does not mean a downward trend. I am perplexed as to why you didn't get an acceptance though????

Just as you have to wait for january, so do I so, hope january is kind to you as it is to me.

Every place I've interviewed told me that I would have had a much better shot if I would have applied early. I didn't submit AADSAS until 8/16. :scared: Live and learn.

Your grades are solid, so a C will not do much harm.

No worries.
