Hello, I was wondering if those who got accepted would kindly tell me their GPA and PCAT score? I don't know if my grades are good enough to get in anywhere 🙁
My PCAT:
Math: 85
Chemistry: 92
Biology: 58
Reading Comprehension: 58
Composite: 78
As you can see my reading and biology scores are very low....
My GPA isn't the best either my prereq GPA is about a 3.2 and math/science is about a 2.9 (Hopefully this increases after this semester)
Thanks for any helpful answers

ignore the other comment. It makes no sense. Firstly, any school will NOT take you. You GPA is too low and you PCAT is just below competitive for UT Austin. I'm worried about UT Austin and I have a 99 pcat and a 3.8 GPA.

BUT, I bet you'll have no trouble getting into Tech or TSU honestly, as long as you have some decent extra currics, rec letters, and experience. I'd also try for houston, but it'll be tough. Regardless, you'll have to do well on your interview.

I say apply to everywhere, including UT Austin. You might get an interview, and if you impress there you're in. But don't be let down if you don't get in

Also, don't listen to the troll about not getting a job on graduation. Your pcat and undergrad gpa mean **** in the job market. Go to pharm school, do well, and you will find yourself a job somewhere in retail.

Good luck, happy applications!

I wasn't planning on applying to UT. I currently go to UH and that would be my primary option. I am also applying for TT,TSU, and A&M. I'm kinda scared that I won't get into those either.

Have you applied already? UH has rolling admissions so I believe that it'd be to your advantage to apply sooner than later. Also, I believe you have a solid chance in getting into TAMU. I'm not too familiar with TT or TSU.

Good luck! I'm applying to UH, UT, and TAMU as well.

I submitted my app last week, and my gpa was verified yesterday
I got a call from UH today, have you heard anything yet? There's still spots open for the 10/28 and 11/11 interview dates 🙂

Nothing yet. I just got my Last letter of recommendation submitted last night so I probably won't hear anything until Monday

May I ask what your pcat and GPA was?

This is off-topic but I wanted to give it a try and see if someone can help. Has anyone here gone to UTSA?

I've applied to TSU for 2017 and I have an interview in November. The only pre-req. I am missing is Medical Terminology. I live in San Antonio currently and I got my B.S. In Biochemistry from SUNY Binghamton in 2010. I can take the class I'm missing at Univ. of Texas at San Antonio, but the only Medical Terminology class there is offered through the Kinesiology Dept. TSU said they won't accept it.

For any other students that went to UTSA, how did you fulfill the Medical Terminolgy pre-req? Where did you take it?

Thanks!

Humble brag much?

Texas Tech's average gpa is 3.5, where the OP's pre-req GPA is 3.2 and math/sci gpa is 2.9. This is not competitive for Texas Tech at all. OP may possibly get in, but making a statement like "I bet you'll have no trouble getting in" is pretty reckless IMO.

I graduated from Tech's program in 2009 (yes I'm old) and I'm obviously biased. However, clinical training is next to none and you get 1.5 years of clinical training compared to 1 year for many schools.

Will they accept community college level?

I haven't asked yet. However, I looked at the CC course offerings and it doesn't seem like any of the SA community colleges are offering the course this coming spring or summer 🙁 So, even if TSU would accept it, the course isn't being offered 🙁 Thank you for replying though!

Bring it up to them. See if TSU offers the course Spring 2017 or if they'll let you do Summer mester before matriculation.
