So long story short, I'm taking physics at CU Boulder to fulfill my final prerequisites for medical school. I looked at my tuition bill for this semester and it was $18,135. Needless to say that's a ridiculous price for one class so I'm likely going to drop it. The tuition information is online somewhere, but I didnt think to verify it. My fault I know. They also want to try to charge me 40% of that tuition to drop it, I'm going to petition that and hopefully that gets dropped.

Anyway this will be my third W. Only one of these has been due to poor performance in a class (honestly). The first W was because I was transferring and didn't need to take the class for the same major at my transfer school. The second W was for a bad grade in music history and the third was for $3700 a credit.

How big of a deal is this going to be? Hopefully there is a spot where I can explain why I have some withdraws.

Three Ws isn't a big deal over 4+(?) years of education. You don't need to explain, but if asked, yikes!, I'd agree with your action.

I withdrew from my entire first semester of college to enlist instead. Never once came up on my interview trail and I was 3/3 for interviews/admissions. Don't sweat it.
