I put on my application that i was plannin to retake the mcat in april....will the school or aacomas automatically update that?? cuz i dont see it in my application profile. any thoughts?

Yes, they will

All your MCAT scores will be visible to all schools you apply to, it's automatically updated electronically.

I thought AMCAS automatically update the score but AACOMAS doesn't. You have to go to the site (score history site) and request it. To be on the safe side, I would do it. It doesn't hurt.

FutureDocDO.... you are right. you have to go to aamc and request them to send your new score to aacomas.

Yes I was wondering too, if you release your april scores and submitt application to AACOMAS, the later decided to take August MCAT would the scores then, automatically be released to AACOMAS for August? People change their minds about taking the MCAT again all the time.

Raven...each time you retake the test, you have to request AAMC to release it to AACOMAS, once AACOMAS gets it, they will automatically update your application and submit that info to the school(s) you applied to. That was my understanding.

Oh, Okay. Thanks.

On this topic is it possible to simply NOT send your second scores to AACOMAS if you end up doing worse that is ? They would have no way of accessing it

I think they still get updated scores. Strong necrobump btw.

You only need to have them send your scores if you re-take the mcat correct? How long does it usually take for them to update your app with the score if you took it for the first time?

They say 5-7 days, in my experience 2 weeks. Hell, it could even be longer now that the application season is in "Full Swing"
