I was placed on academic probation at the end of my junior year, long story short I took on too many responsibilities and due to a technical error the class i thought I dropped was never dropped resulting me failing the class. my quarter gpa fell below 2.0 and was put on academic probation. Though UCSD states the academic probation will not be put on my official transcripts, only on internal records will it show.

Touro on the secondary app asked me if I was placed on any academic suspension, dismissal, probation or asked to withdraw from the university. ...so should I say Yes and explain myself or just say no and hope they never find out ><

I'm pretty sure the probation will put a big red flag on my application...

Last thing I would do is be dishonest about it.

I've read several posts that make it sound like probation isn't seen as a huge deal as long as it wasn't for cheating, etc.

I think I got put on academic probation 2 or 3 times and suspended once as an undergraduate, all for poor grades. I'm not worried about it. Granted it was 10 years ago...

Yea they will see it, but that is where the "use this space to discuss any other aspects about your application" spots on your secondaries come into play. If you are honest about it and own up to your mistake in a professional manner, they will not hold it against you at all. The only way is if it was cheating or something like that. If you withhold it and they find out you essentially can be blacklisted.

Absolutely be honest. You will not get rejected for a prior academic probation, but you will be rejected for failing to mention prior academic probation. Not worth the risk.
