That school just took its first class last year right? I haven't heard too much about it. It's going to be one of the schools I apply to.

I'm a P1 at Wingate this fall. I was only accepted last week, so now I have to get an apartment (hopefully Chase in Monroe), and move all my crap from Minnesota to North Carolina in less than a month.

Thanks Golfingryno, are you a P1 this year too? I did get a single in Chase, I'm glad I didn't have to live at Nottingham.

I'm a little freaked out about Wingate and how different it is. Classes based on 'systems', huge amount of experiential work, dress code, manditory attendence, that whole christian baptist thing.

Most people really seem to like it though.

Actually I am going to be a P-2. The dress code is not that bad......you will get used to it. I did not have any problems with it. The mandatory attendance thing is partially our fault 😕 We had one class that probably about 65% of the us would skip. Sorry 😀 As far as the whole Baptist thing.......Don't worry about that a bit. It may be affiliated with a Baptist school, but the pharmacy school is a tad-bit different. We don't have to attend chapel, a lot of us are of a different religion. Any other questions just let me know

I am in the process of purchasing my laptop and wanted to find out if there are any suggestions. I have a list of the specs that the computer needs to have, but what about the brand of computer that students seem to like more than others. IE, students may like Gateway more than HP because it seems to be more reliable.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

As a computer-savvy person with at least 5 friends who have masters degrees in computer engineering (and who frequently give recommedations on both hardware and software)- the only laptop I would buy would be an IBM or a Dell. IBM will be more expensive than the Dell, but they also have better warranties. Both computer companies make quality products. Gateway and HP are the real crap of the computer world.

I have a Dell, and it has been good to me. My one recommendation is to buy the best service pack that the company offers.......you never know when your computer will muck up on you. Trust me you will need it
