so i've been reading all the threads about everyone's aadsas # and i'm starting to sweat here b/c i checked out the apps and the due dates were about dec15-jan 15 so i figured i would have mine in by late sept/early oct. that appears to be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYyy too late? i know that everyone has been stressing the earlier the better here, but how late is late? basically i just want to know if having it by sept/oct totally screws you over...

thanks!

You will see in the many other threads about this, the main point is turn it in as soon as possible for the best chances of gaining admission. It is as simple as that. Everyone asks "how late can i turn my application in?" And i always ask them why do you want to turn it in late when you know that the earlier the better? So my advice to you is to answer that question yourself.

I turned all of mine in the day before the deadline.

I was finally accepted to three of the six schools i applied to. i generally wait till the last minute to do everything, so this was no exception.

I think the general idea is to turn everything in a timely mannner, CJwolf is the exception, I take it this person had exceptional background, good grades and DAT. Give yourself the best chance of success by applying as early as you can. CJWOLF if I'm not mistaken has just now gotten there acceptance.

Yes, i did get all my acceptances late as anything. I'm sure if i had applied earlier i would have gotten my letters a lot earlier. As it turned out i didn't have any of my interviews till late spring which meant i was competing for the last 5-10 slots of the incoming class. I did get screwed at one school because my transcript got there 4 days after the deadline has passed.

But yes, turn in everything as early as possible for best results.

congrats on the acceptance, dying to be in your shoes! U such a lucky
bastardo

cheers Dr. CJWOLF ( does that sound good or what)

in my opinion Sept and on is late. It will take the AADSAS a few weeks to process the info then the school a few weeks and also the interviews are filling up fast...so if you apply in sept you would probably get an interview after dec 1st

I agree. Have your AADSAS application done before the end of August (at the latest). Take the DAT about the same time. This way you will probably have some interviews before DEC 1st. Dont forget AADSAS needs about 5 weeks to get the application to the schools. Then it takes another 2 weeks for them to ask for the application fee and another 2 weeks for them to decide if they'll ask you to come for an interview. It all totals to 9 weeks ot 2 months if everything is running smoth.

Dont listen to CJWolf cause this guy is totally wrong...maybe for Tennesee, which gets like 3 applicants per year, applying late doesnt matter, but for the rest of the US, it matters a lot. I agree with Broc when he said that past September, its getting late. Although if you have decent stats, you can apply until December, and still get accepted, but you may not get into your first choice

some schools like Case is notorious for accepting early, so if you want to get into case, I would say August is considered late....

Overall point....apply as early as possible...this, you will not regret.
