Withdrawing from waitlists

Hey guys,

I was just wondering how one goes about withdrawing from a waitlist. I emailed one school to withdraw, and they never confirmed. Any thoughts on how to withdraw? Is calling the best option?

I sent both an email and a letter, just to make sure. I'm all about giving up a spot I don't want for someone else ! Just be polite and keep it short (mine was 1 paragraph and change).
