this is probably a stupid question, but how do you withdraw your applications from medical school? i applied before getting my mcat results (will retake in january) and would like to withdraw my applications. is there a way to do this through amcas or do i have to call up each school individually? should i bother even calling the schools or just not submit my secondaries? also, if were to withdraw now and apply next year, when it asks have you ever applied to medical school on the application, can i say "no"? thanks.

When I was accepted off the waitlist at VCU this summer, I had to call AMCAS to withdraw my app. They gave me a fax number and had me fax a letter to them withdrawing my application.

And yes, you are considered a reapplicant once you submit a primary. You are only considered a reapplicant at the schools you applied to this year though, so if you change your list at all you can put first time applicant on any new schools, and reapplicant on the repeats.
