any out there plan on working during this summer before starting up school? contemplating between finding something to do just to make some money or just traveling with friends

I'm working in the same lab I was in during graduate school. Pay isn't good, but I get to finish up some projects that didn't make their way into my thesis (=more pubs while in med school). I plan on taking all of July off to goof off and visit friends around the country. I guess it all depends on what you can afford. If you're flush with cash, there's no sense in working unless it's a job you really want to be doing. You no longer need to build up EC's for an AMCAS, so I would say just chill and have fun before you walk the plank.

I plan on working my a$$ off so that I can pay off as much as I can before I have to quit a week before I start. Six days should be enough to relax before starting school.

No job I could get would make enough of a dent in the debt to be worth it. I'll work in the lab I'm at off and on, maybe getting myself something that will be published in the future... Other than that, relaxing, working out, road trips w/ friends, a few weddings, seeing family, etc.

I'll probably try to find a lab I like at the med school I'm going to as well, in case I want to try to work intermittently during M1 and the M1-M2 summer.
