Hey guys I graduate this summer in Maryland and will probably be living here for a couple of years, and then moving out to California. I would like to take all the exams that are needed to work in both states right off the bat while its fresh in my head. What is the best way to go about this in terms of NAPLEX and MPJE/CPJE?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

If I were you, I would take the NAPLEX through MD and have your score transferred to CA. Put in your paperwork for CA ASAP because the processing time is ~45 days from the time you submit (keep in mind you have to get live scanned/fingerprinted and a background check before you can submit).

Then take the CPJE and MPJE when you are able. I gave myself 3 weeks between NAPLEX and CPJE. My friends all had about 2 weeks between NAPLEX and their MPJEs

Thanks for the reply. I heard alot of NAPLEX questions can be on the CPJE as well. Which one should I take first CPJE or MPJE?

Hey guys still looking it over and trying to figure something out over here. I want to take the NAPLEX and start working in Maryland right away, however, I do plan on moving to California in 2 years from now. Should I make California my Primary State and then do a score transfer to Maryland or vice versa? In terms of keeping up the license, dont you have to keep up the license in your primary state? Or does a score transfer make it possible to keep both Maryland and California as a primary state?

I wouldn't because CA takes forever to know your NAPLEX score vs. MD - i believe they posted within 2-3 days. CA is better for secondary not primary.

I would apply through Maryland and transfer your score to CA. CA takes too long to get your an ATT. You don't have to keep up both licenses, only 1, but you can have both licenses.
