Hi I'm currently a 3rd year nutritional sciences major with a 3.94 GPA. I am taking the mcat may 18th so no score for that yet. But I'm worried about my extra curricular a and volunteering. Any advice or are these ok?

Clinical volunteering
  • Hospice (on and off since June 2016) ~ 100 hours by the time I would apply

Other volunteering
  • Guide dog foundation for the blind puppy raiser (I raise a guide dog puppy; since august 2016) this will be thousands of hours because it's a 24/7 hour volunteer thing
  • Educational outreach program with middle schoolers (since august 2015)
  • Food bank (on and off

Other ECS
  • sorority (3 years so far and I've been on committees each year)
  • Honor society for my college (2016-current)
Shadowing

  • One hand surgeon for about 50 hours
Work
  • I do freelance graphic design (since august 2015)
Research
  • 1 year research at the USDA (200 hours)

More shadowing wouldn't hurt... Maybe some ER and FM? See if you can get a couple hundred more hours of shadowing and pt contact.

Besides that you look good to me...
