"10 male students make a facebook group and are the only ones with access to the group. In the group they talk about their sexual interest with female students. What do you think of this?"
It is the same behavior that's in the prompt.
No, it isn't.
The fact that he said he would just walk up to women kiss them and grab them is sexual assault. Most men I know might express their interest in having sex with a woman, in vulgar terms, but that's ok. But saying your going to just walk up to them and do it is not ok. That's the difference here.

Sorry had to say that.
Now let's get this thread back on topic. How about them interview answers yo?

Interviewer: Good luck with the rest of your interview cycle!

Me: Thanks! You Too...........

Me: [in my head] why are you like this
Honestly, they probably need it more than you do. They have to sit through as many Worst Interview Answers in 1 day as you will have (hopefully) in your entire cycle...and if they do a good job, they have to do it AGAIN next year!

Interviewer: Hello.

Applicant: Good, thanks.

I did that to a cop on base the other day. She said, "Good morning," and I said, "Good. How are you?" She laughed and then I explained how every single morning the cop at the gate asks me how I'm doing, so I got in the habit.

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...

Did you mean "discredit"? I mean it's by definition not slander if it's just a recording.
Sure, "discredit" is a better word.

Are you familiar with how campaigns work?
Yes, I am familiar with how the campaign works, but there is nothing normal about this whole election. Trump may be a cretin, but this sexist statement does not shed any light on his capabilities as a business mogul nor his capabilities of improving this country.

No, but it does shed light on his attitude towards at least 50% of the population and his likelihood of valuing their preferences, opinions, autonomy, and rights. Which sounds like something that would be relevant when picking who we want to grant a large amount of personal, political, and rhetorical power to.

You have the right to your opinion, and I will respect that. So just go vote for the other candidate.

I haven't stated my opinion, and I don't plan on berating anyone for theirs...this is not that thread. I'm simply stating that it's a stretch to pretend that most people would find the matter irrelevant.

How do you think a medical school would react if they found out one of their students said **** like that?

Look at my previous post about the 10 male students prompt. Med schools/hospitals will hold you accountable for every little thing that you do. Just to make it clear, I am not supporting Trump nor I am voting for him. My issue is that when stuff like this is dug up, it's not only hurting him. We as a nation look stupid. Europe already thinks that we are gun-toting, morbidly obese hillbillies. Now, we are broadcasting this sh**show of an election to rest of the world.

Interviewer: "So I see you graduated early, that's pretty impressive, how did you manage that?"

Me: *Trying to make an eloquent and well-thought out point about how fortunate most people are to be born healthy which obviously makes school a lot easier* "Well, I guess I was lucky to be born with good genes."

*pauses a beat and realizes how Hitlery I sound and go into to panic mode damage control*

"Yeah good genes. I wish there was a word for that like eugenes or something... Maybe that'd be a good field of study, you know, eugenics?"

I'm having a field day with this one in my head.

I'm going to take this opportunity to put in a plug for Giant Meteor 2016

/derailed political discussion 😉

I think @baratheonfire meant that people are petty for bringing up dirt from decades ago just to slander someone.
Yeah, one time without any corroborating evidence can be written off as poorly chosen language. Multiple corroborating stories going back decades that is what one would call a character issue.

You and my interviewer both lol.

Actually it turned out kind of okay when we were talking about whether genes vs environment were more important and she said she felt genes were more important. I was trying to say that environment has a huge impact on someone's success (e.g. Not worrying about money, having a good learning environment etc). In her defense I think she was also referring to how genetic diseases can make people's lives a lot harder (we had been talking about genetic diseases right before that question).

And Hillary's shaming and smearing of all the women her husband sexually assaulted, not to mention her treatment of a 12-yo rape victim isn't a clue to her attitude? Or does she get a pass because she's a woman?

I never said anything about Hillary, and wasn't trying to jump into an H vs T debate.

I was just saying that a candidate's attitude towards women is relevant to their electability, and that's completely reasonable. I concur that that is equally true for Hillary. I don't think this is the place to get into comparing the two and I won't participate in that discussion here...but I found it difficult to swallow the idea that we just shouldn't care about things like a casual disregard for sexual violence when selecting the leader of our country.

Agreed. Also don't want a H v T debate.

A really bad interview answer would be if you suddenly injected your opinions about this election into your med school interview. Save it for the socio-political forum, please!
Lol, my interviewers did that on multiple occasions.

Interviewer: Hello.

Applicant: Good, thanks.
Buying food on campus, shortly after an interview...

Cashier: "Have a great rest of your evening!"
Me: "No. No, thanks."
(Walks away. Realizes cashier wasn't asking if I wanted a receipt. Too much distance traveled to recover.)

Gotta love social scripts, but thankfully I wasn't so cursory in my departure from the interview room.

Imagine if the cashier was trying to hand you your acceptance letter...😀

What a strange question. Is there even a right answer?
I mean honestly the guys are allowed to talk about whatever they want.

This actually happened with a group of dental students in Canada. They were suspended and I'm not sure if they were able to obtain recommendations for residency or employment.

Misread the quoted quote, my reply made no sense.

I was intimidated after reading that my interviewer was a retired Army Major and HMS grad, but was getting surprisingly (too) comfortable during the interview. He was extremely familiar with my file and very conversational.

My interviewer points out how although I mentioned I used to be shy I've made a lot of improvement.

Me: Haha and now you can't get me to shut up! HA

Interviewer: No, don't say that.

Me: *cringe*

Before a MMI, we were told not to self promote-- so at one of the stations, I was asked about a W I had. Before I began my explanation, I said "although I have mostly A's..." and then a few seconds later I started to internally freak out since I went against what we were told. I momentarily forgot what I was explaining lol and I kinda hated myself for the rest of the station

Interviewer: What's your biggest weakness on your application?
Me: Well, my MCAT could be better...
Interviewer: That's not what I asked...?
Me: Oh, you mean, like, my character?

(the addition of "on your application" got me f'd up...)

Interviewer: So what kinds of extracurricular or leadership activities have you undertaken?

Me: Well I was treasurer of such and such skeptic/atheist club

Meanwhile about 1 minute prior she mentioned something about being a preacher's daughter.

Result = accepted

You didn't make an error. You answered the exact question that was asked. The interviewer wasn't clear, if that isn't the answer they were interested in hearing.

At one of my MMI interviews, I reviewed the prompt but couldn't figure out how things ought to play out. I actually politely and honestly inquired about how we should proceed. I don't regret it yet, but I'm still waiting for a decision...

Most spiritual people are capable of not judging someone for being an atheist, believe it or not. 🙂
