Hi all,

I'm currently taking 18 credit hours this quarter consisting of: Adv Cell Biology, Anatomy and Physiology (w/Lab), Physics I w/lab, 3 creds of Undergraduate Research, and some lame history class.

Thing is, I don't give one hoot about this history class (only taking it to finish graduation requirement). I've been making borderline C-B grades this quarter, not going to classes because of the complete lack of interest. I am maintaining A's in all the other classes. My overall GPA after two years is 3.9 and the last day to drop this History class is next Thursday. Should I take a hit with this C (possibly a B) or drop the class?

great attitude you have op. "I'm not interested in it so I don't care." You shouldn't dare have to suffer through something you're not interested in. Not the mighty you.

Really impressive.

i'd keep it and do what you need to do to get a B. if you drop it you're going to have to retake it all over again. stick it out.

Oh how rude of me to disrespect something I clearly have no interest for. Just asking for honest opinions to my situation and not for criticism aimed towards my apathy to what I consider an irrelevant, time consuming class.

How great of you to acknowledge my might and your attitude 😉

I would just try to finish it out, since you need it to complete a graduation requirement. Getting a B or C won't hurt you in the long run.

Quark, my logic here is if you are going to put full effort into the course at some point, it might as well be from the beginning and not in the middle when you're already getting a C. We haven't heard a reason that it would be any harder to take it later in your college career, so it seems the best choice to me so far...

I used to think like you. Then I realized it got me nowhere.
