Probably not. I'm guessing you're asking because it "fulfills a writing requirement". That doesn't make it an English class though. Best answer: Ask your school.

Ethics is usually offered through the Philosophy department. Medical schools that are looking for a course coded as "English" and not going to accept "PHIL" as a substitute for "English".

your best bet is to buy the MSAR, see what each school requires and inquire at the schools you are most interested in if there is any doubt.
