Would declining an interview work against you when you apply to their post grad?

So I was wondering if it would look bad to decline an interview at a school you could potentially apply to again for a post grad program? Im probably thinking wayyyy ahead of myself, but couldn't they look back and see that you didn't want to interview with them before?

It won't. Don't try to overthink these things.

I really think we're just a number to them. However, I'm not taking any chance. I'm drafting a very flattering 'thanks, but no thanks' letter and sending it out.

Haha I'm drafting my letters as well!
Just wanted to bring up that there has been cases where students were questioned why they didn't choose to go to their school for undergrad. (definitely an awkward interview moment) Thought that if this was something they picked up on for ds apps, why would they stop for post grad.
But... Ehh, I haven't actually heard of any of these cases for post grad.

That, and I was asked the question "where does our school rank amongst your choices," at the time, they were #1, so I wasn't lying. But things changed after I saw other schools. Oops.

This scares me as well. I feel like turning down acceptances will make the schools take it personally :-/ probably not though lol...

DG, have you narrowed down where you're likely to be attending yet?
