I took Statistical Methods which is under economics for one of my requirements and wasn't sure if it could be included in the bcpm gpa. In the pre-health office they recommend this class to all the students for the stats requirement for a couple of courses (it really wasn't geared towards economics either).

This depends on the course description but I think you'd be okay classifying that course as BCPM. @gonnif could clarify on this.

Two separate issues

1) You can list it as BCPM for purposes of AMCAS; there is no penalty for doing so and they will simply change it if it does not pass muster
2) If you have a stats prerequisite for a specific school, this may not be acceptable. A few schools are not accepting social science stats as fulfilling the requirement. However, I would say that is a minor risk and probably would get waiver

Especially if you have a syllabus that shows that it wasn't a fluffy stats class or was cross listed as a math course or that there's an equivalent course in the math department. If the course was anything like the one in my undergrad, I'm sure you've more than fulfilled the requirements and likely know more about stats and analysis than a pre-med that took a basic stats class in the math department.
