Would you include this as clinical volunteering?

I'm currently volunteering at healthcare of the homeless, a free clinic. I mainly work a help desk and help take in patients, assist with paperwork, escort them to the doctors, etc. I have been exposed to all the areas of the clinic, and I am constantly surrounded by the patients, but as I'm not doing anything medically related, could I put this as clinical volunteering? I actually began this project simply because I wanted to help and become more involved in the community. I would hate to have to quit and find a more clinically relevant position, but if this doesn't count, I would be forced to, as I wouldn't have time to hold another position as well. Any advice on what to do is appreciated!

Welcome! You're new here. My (old) saying is this, If you are close enough to smell patients, it is a clinical experience. Given that you are in a clinic, and you are interacting face-to-face with the patients in the clinic, you are in close enough proximity to smell them (not to say that they "smell", but just that you are close to them, not 2 floors away in a back office), then it is a clinical experience. :)

Thank you very much! I was hoping it would count as I do genuinely enjoy volunteering there. And yes I am new, I just came across this site a few days ago and it has already provided me with some fantastic knowledge. Thanks again!
