Wow! My application was verified in less than 3 weeks!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's September... Your app is pretty late =/

Early: June-mid July
Average: mid-July - mid-August
Late: mid-August and beyond

Secondaries should be submitted by around this time to be on track.

I was always told that my application would take 4-6 weeks if I submitted it on August 14th

But mine was just verified today~~

Really excited!!

=)

Was it AMCAS? If so, yes, AMCAS is really on the ball this cycle, mine was verified in 3 weeks, so pretty cool too! Start working on your secondaries and good luck!!

I know that it is obviously late

I was just prepared to have it verified in October because of all the buzz over how long it takes...

You think they don't know that? The OP's point is that the conventional wisdom is that the longer you go in the application season, the longer it takes to get verified. His experience was counter to that, and as such is news to people applying later in the cycle.

It would be nice to think that AMCAS is being responsive to their customers' concerns and increasing staff to improve satisfaction. Interestingly, I've read that AACOMAS has faster-than-usual verification times this year also.

Good luck with a rapid turn-around on your Secondaries, too, OP. being ahead of schedule can only help you.

My AACOMAS (Submitted late August) was verified in 4 days! AMCAS slowpokes are still "working" on it...

I submitted on August 7th and haven't heard a damn thing. Should I be concerned?
