I am writing a manuscript for publication. I didn't realize how much work it takes to reference everything and put it all together! Wow lengthy process...

If its that difficult...you probably dont have a good enough understanding of the background information of what ever topic your writing about...

I might be, but I have written several manuscripts and the only time I have felt it to be difficult is when I lack an understanding of a particular part of the background to which I was trying to relate my data
