so i think i want to withdraw from this one school.
do i just write the admissions office a letter saying that i want to withdraw?

what have others written? do i need to give them a reason?
also.. do they automatically give you the deposit back or should I ask for it? (it was $100!!) i believe the deadline for the deposit was May 15 or something like that.. So I should get it back.

Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

This sounds very much like another thread started awhile ago...
Anyway, to withdraw, simply write them a letter ASAP politely stating that while you appreciate the opportunity to attend such and such school you respectfully decline. You dont need to give them a reason, because they probably wont care what it is anyway...sorry not trying to be mean, but I think that is a realistic assumption.
And I am pretty sure that all deposits are refundable before May 15...but I think that in the letter you can say please destroy my deposit check or return it to me to the following address...or something like that, maybe a little more eloquently though!!
hope that helps!!!

eunice,

where are you going next year? where are you withdrawing? i lost track of you since you were debating NJMS vs. RWJ a few months ago!

i sent a letter of withdrawal to NJMS and another school a few weeks ago . . . and still haven't gotten my money back! so it may be a good idea to mention in your letter where the school can send your deposit, as the previous poster suggested. i didn't do that, but now i wish i had. i want my money!

in the case of NJMS, they even sent an invitation to "Parent's Day" to my parents last week! they both called me, so excited to go, and i had to let them down. sorry mom and dad, i just withdrew from there so you can't go . . .

i would just say something simple like:

Dear ____,

this cat fo' shore ain't steppin' on yo' huntin' grounds
bitch u better gimme mah money
foo'

Respectfully,
Moops
