That list has to be very small since only one SDNer so far has been placed on it (that we know of)

The size of this list is discouraging but I'm going to wait to hear what group I'm in before I lose hope

From the other thread, at an info session earlier in the year, the numbers were given:
150 - acceptances
50 - high waitlist
200 - regular waitlist

So if this year there are 170 - 180 acceptances, fine.
The person may also have included high-priority folks - who knows how that is held in the collective consciousness, in terms of numbers. I'm saying this because a yale magazine link in last year's thread quoted a number of 176, which just didn't match with the other numbers floating around. sounded like perhaps high priority were included. Anyways, this is another piece that left an unanswered question mark when reading last year's

Those other threads do have some excellent information, and near the end of the thread, I composed a summary of the info I'd gathered on last year's thread. there were many answered questions, and lots of useful info.

One of the most interesting things that i didn't get confirmation for while reading last year's, is whether Group 1 of the waitlist is actually high priority folks.it came up in discussion, but never did get a final answer in the course of the thread. happy reading - i know it's tedious, but it really helps get a sense of the situation.

also - will we start to use this thread for chatting now that we have a fairly good sense of waitlist? i vote 'yes'!

Also, I remember reading at least two high priorities in the most recent thread. That makes sense - high priority is the smallest group.

Now that the form is mailed back, I'm hoping that my energy stays free for other things. We're in for a long wait again! And as time goes by, I get more and more neurotic in the wait. So looks like there's one more wonderful opportunity to try something different! If I can master waiting with grace, fluidity and productivity, I believe there is a massive life lesson in there - this will add 30 years to wisdom age.
