there isnt a class that i hate more than PHYSICS.............no matter how hard i tried to focus, my mind just just wandered somewhere else when it came to physics.........thank god, after tomorrow's final...i am through with Physics.......😀

orgo.... i h8 it

i actually really like physics. it is my fav science but i sux at math too much to persue it any further. orgo is just pure memorization... who can memorize different combinations of C, H, O and arrows!!! lame

I really hated my music theory III class...I know it's not a premed course, but the professor wasn't kidding when she said it was harder than Organic Chem (She took the premed courses when she went to Rochester).

I honestly had no idea what I was doing the entire time I was in there. I was completely at the mercy of my professor. Somehow I came out with a B, I think it was because she felt bad for me because I was completely clueless.

Basically it felt like I was thrown into the middle of a lake and I couldn't keep my head above water...now I just have to get through theory IV

Physics is my favorite class after my last quarter.
I think I did hate genetics though.
I got an A but it was just really detailed stupid stuff about figuring out map units, orders, etc that I had no interest in.
Everyone told me that I'd hate it and surely enough, I did.
I mean seriously who wants to figure out some probability, draw Pascal's triangle, etc... in a biology class?

Organic chemistry is not memorization at all, unless you have a hard time memorizing periodic trends and what neucleophiles are vs. electrophiles.
It was really comical to watch all these sophomores struggle while studying for organic chemistry finals as if they were studying the hardest subject in the world!
Try upper division math courses and tell me organic chemistry is hard.
O chem is really concepts you learn early in your first semester/quarter played out over and over and over with just a few things changed.

i know what youre talking about, i hate discrete math and infinite math.....but not as much as i hate physics.......something wrong with me and Physics, it's like water and fire together, cannot ever be mixed together no matter what.........haha......😀

There is no way organic Chemistry is memorization. Memorizing organic chemistry will bring you nothing but failure in the future. Organic chemistry is based on trends you will have learned in general chemistry. Once you LEARN these trends, organic chemistry is not memorization.

i dont know but i actually like ochem, i sat through a whole semester of it just for fun just to get a feel for it when i take it next semester......i say it's easier to understand than gchem, and definitely not as hard as physics..........then again, i hate physics with a passion........😀

General bio or genetics. When it came to bio, I could not find the topic matter interesting because it was taught by a professor who was studying local variations in lizards and quite frankly I wonder why in the hell anyone would fund research on crap like that. What really sucked was the prof was actually a really cool guy, a lot of fun to talk to....but damn was his area of expertise pointless........

what is this class about exactly?

i've taken a music theory class and it was damn hard! It was one of those hardest and most boring classes i've ever taken. A few honorable mentions are public expenditure and public choice and urban economics. (i was an econ major)

Gen Chemistry. I hate studing for the class.

Basically analyzing tons and tons of music from the Baroque to the Romantic periods of music. We also had to take the information we learned from lectures (like new chords ie: augmented 6th chords) and write music with them. If anyone has ever taken an education class music theory is sort of whats called a "spiral curriculum" class.

It got so deep towards the end of the semester, and I did actually began to see why Beethoven was reguarded as a musical genius. In almost all of his music he takes small musical ideas and spreads them over his music, backwards, forwards, in musical sentences. It's amazing, but it's very hard to see I didn't see it until our professor pointed it out.

When you study, don't just memorize reactions, THINK about what those reactions let you do. There is a really beautiful pattern to it. Granted, a certain degree of memorization is definitely involved, but by studying mechanisms and understanding the chemistry behind the various reactions, a lot of unnecessary memorization is avoided.

Organic Chemistry... enough said.

Cell Bio
Physics II Electricity & Magnetism
Solid Biomechanics

It is hard for me to choose between physics and quant...these two classes I was counting down the days until the class would be over. I did find in both classes but I hated the material. Organic was actually my favorite pre-med class. I think it depends on what professor you have. I had an excellent professor and I could tell he LOVED teaching organic and this made it easier for us to learn, he explained everything very well and was easy to talk to if we had questions. I'm also a very visual person when it comes to learning to organic with all the structures and everything was a great class for me.

I loved Orgo 😍 but HATED PChem 👎

Ecologgyyyyyyy!!!!!
Thennn Physics!!!

Plant Physiology.
Before, I accidentally killed every plant I touched. Now I do it as retribution.

1) General Chem (NOT O-chem, I liked O-chem)

I developed a strong aversion to it...if I heard the words "moles" or "electrodes" I quickly go deaf and start running in the opposite direction.

2) Philosophy.

I couldn't stand the circle talk that went on the whole semester. Heck, by the second week I lost track of what it was I was supposed to be learning, and to this day I remember reading Socrates and Plato but have no idea what the point of it was.

The reason you probably hate organic chemistry is because you are trying to memorize it, tool.

Loved Org Chem & Genetics, disliked Physics, but I nearly cried every time I had to study for what I generously named "The %@?*!~# Plant Class". The worst by far!

I absolutely HATED (is there are stronger word?) physics.

Film analysis
Instrumental analysis
real analysis

i got good grades in those classes, i just hate classes with analysis in the title

im not really surprised by all the dislike of physics by the bio majors.

Haha.. I got you beat. Physical Chemistry. I & II. with lab. 😱

"gender and sport," a class to fill a gender studies requirement for my graduation requirements... it was taught in the phys ed department by the track coach... it seriously reminded me of something out of high school. Your grade ended up being completely determined on whether or not you played a varsity sport at the school. I'm more than confident I knew more about the subject matter than the professor.

I'd take analysis and algebra over orgo anyyyy day.

Organic Chemistry...easily the most boring subject I took in school. And I too would rather take upper division math over that crap again anyday.

World Geography
I think it was mostly the professor that made it soooo boring!!

boring ecology
extra boring gen chemistry II! (and suffering while studying for this for the mcat!)

I hated calc, physics and orgo. The good news is that they are irrelevant in medical school. I agree that orgo is memorization (or at least it was at my program). I loved general chem, biochem and genetics.

In medical school, I hated anatomy and love pathology. It goes back to that memorization thing.🙂

Ochem. By leagues. Give me cell biology or molecular biology anyday, just keep your ochem to yourself.

worst = control systems (barely passed and only because of prayers)
worse = general bio (could not give a crap bout phyllum and lower order org)

luved physics and orgo with a passion. wish there were more orgo to take in my school.

molecular cell biology, prof completely ******ed, infact most bio profs are completely stupid.

oooh condescending engineers... tsk tsk.. oh come on, on average, engineering professors are waaay worse than bio professors.. they might be smarter, but everyone knows you can't be a good lecturer if you have no people skills.. 😀

hahaha well i was just saying they have these wack way of thinking for example: my bio prof suggested eating vegetable is unhealthy and my other prof well hahaha hired such stupid TAs that grading was completely multiple choice for a fill in the blank test. i don't care about bad a prof is as long as he or she can back up his or her claims and is not a total **** i will not be a total **** to them, if they will well i am not going to stand by it. but that doesn't mean i don't get As in their classes, it just means i MUST get an A to criticize them.

between physics and orgo...
ugh. it was some miracle i pulled A's in both. Merry Christmas to me lol : )

I really liked physics, it was my favorite class.

I hated General Biology 2. It was all about plants and stuff. I was not the least bit interested in that. I hope the MCAT doesnt test gymnosperms and garbage.
