Hello everyone,
I'm a medical student and I really enjoyed learning about immunology during my microbiology class. I was wondering if it was possible to train in allergy/immunology, but then mainly focus on the immunology part? I find autoimmune disease and immunodeficiencies fascinating, but allergies not so much.
Any guidance is much appreciated!

Allergy is what makes the boat payments. If you have a good research thing going, you can probably find a primarily immunology job in academia though. And if you spend a few (10?, 20?) years building a practice and referral base in a major metro area then you can probably do mostly immunology in private practice too. But this isn't happening straight out of fellowship.
