I think if you know this person pretty well and are confident she would vouch for you then why not just do the rotation with her. Especially since you sound unsure that you could land a gen derm spot anyway. In my experience it is harder to make an impression while working with many different attendings and is much easier to get one to know you really well and write you a recommendation.

Just rotate with her and meet as many of the faculty as you can while you're there. That's what I would do. Maybe ask her if you think it'd be possible for you to meet some of the other faculty members while you're there before you commit to the rotation? I'm sure she'd say yes? That way like jamocha said you'll mainly have one advocate on which you've made a strong impression but you'll maybe have had some facetime with others. Be helpful! =)
