Hi all,
Can any one tell me the difference b/w Psy.d and Ph.d in psychology? Also what would be the job opportunity for Psy.d and Ph.d?

If you check the *DOCTORAL APPLICANTS READ THIS FIRST* sticky at the top of the forums, you'll find a link to the Ph.D./Psy.D. comparison information. Additionally, a search of the forums will turn up multiple other threads on this same topic.

Most Psy.D and Ph.D psychologists are eligible for similar types of work. But, more Ph.D psychologists work in academia, versus Psy.D on average.

The recent edition of The Insider's Guide to Graduate Programs in Clinical and Counseling Psychology should have a subsection discussing PsyD vs PhD.
