Congrats! Was penn for the 2nd of September by any chance? I interviewed with them on first day of interviews but they said they are waiting for the candidates on the 2nd before they make their decisions

Hey man, it's only a mere ~240K more:

http://hsdm.harvard.edu/academics/programs/endodontics

Just tack that puppy onto your 500K from Tufts or BU and you, too, can be an endodontist for a cool 900K.

But hey, you'd be at Harvard. So worth it.
If I go to harvard and then advertise to the public that I went to harvard what is the chance I make $900k+. I want to practice in california.

lol, but on a serious note, i think endo is not worth specializing in anymore due to tech advances that let GPs do endo quite easily and implants.

Haha. Don't worry--you just need to keep the overhead low and you can make it anywhere. The only people who can't make it in California are chumps.

@coldfront said once that he thinks endo is a dying field. I think with greater CE these days that may be true to a degree. What I see happening more and more is the erosion of the brick-and-mortar specialist and instead a growth in the traveling specialist. I could definitely see that with endo.

Thanks. I was told only 4th and 5th were the only available days. I'm going on the 4th. There's interviews on the 9th and 10th?

I don't know how the conflict happens? I would understand if it is on a saturday, but to have 3 interviews in 3 deferent places, thats strange. I wander if they intentionally do that to limit the number of people and give more chance to others?

I still have not heard about VCU or Stony Brook anyone have info on these programs?

Nothing from VCU either... According to their website, the invitations of interview may be sent out in Sep.
Good luck!

In the email they sent me for the invitation it was forwarded to 18 other applicants. So 19 total

VCU interviewed at the beginning of August, unless they did another round of interviews they should be done by now.

Received interview invites from Tufts, Columbia, Temple, Lutheran, and Harvard. Tufts sent out the interview invites very early and I am thinking Tufts already got all 7 spots filled. For Columbia, I declined their interview invite last week so I am thinking they are still interviewing. As for Temple, I received an interview invite email about a week ago but I declined also. For Lutheran @ Brooklyn, I had an interview invite about 2 weeks ago, they might still be interviewing.
Wish best of luck to everyone here!

Good luck to everyone. I cancelled all my interviews including temple, UIC, Penn and Nebraska. I hope someone else got a call from these schools to interview this week.

I am curious, if you have so many interviews lined up, you must be top of the line candidate. Have you accepted a position elsewhere or did you just drop idea of doing endo residency?

I got accepted into my top choice program. I feel bad that I only canceled a couple of days prior to my interviews so the programs may not have had time to give a chance to another candidate.
I do not have crazy stats in fact I am very lucky to have gotten that many interviews. My application showed lots of passion for the specialty and my work experience of 4 years helped a lot!
All the best for those with upcoming interviews and those waiting for acceptances.

I'm also signing out. Got one of the best calls of my life. Going to the best school I could have found. Great faculty and people. Good luck to everyone. I am similar to goldstandard58 several years experience slightly better than average dental student with very helpful recommendations.

any university remaining? or all have finished interviews.
Also once someone is offered a spot, generally how long before have to confirm, basically how long does the shuffling go along, till everyone settles.

:( stuck on multiple waitlists .. was just hoping for a chance.
