It's a start, but it seems marginally powered: "A sample size of participants (48 treatment participants, 24 control participants) was estimated by power analysis to achieve greater than 80% power to detect a 9-point change in FRI score with estimated standard deviations of plus or minus 15 in a 2-way repeated measures analysis of variance model with 5 time points."

What's the data for NRS as an outcome for any discogenic pain treatments? What do you do with a treatment that improves function but not pain?

Lutz works at hss and is cash based..the privilaged NYC demographics work in his favor. Cause they are just so much more damn important than everyone else..
