See y'all were complaining about all us TX folks getting interviews early. But now we have to wait til Nov. 15th for our state schools.


BTW, I endorse this thread I need another countdown thread to entertain me

And that depends on how much the schools end up using the rolling admissions and how quickly the people who get the first offers decide to decline. Otherwise if people sit on their offers till December, the rolling admissions won't get around to the other applicants before match time.

sadly, the ony school I've interviewed at thus far (Wayne) gives out thier decisions on the 25th!!! that's 10 more days!

and my other interview on tap isn't til november... grr.

The 15th is a Sunday. Like it or not we won't hear until the 16th by email or later by snail mail.

NOT TRUE!!!!!!! As strange as this may seem, last year people on SDN were getting acceptances from places like UMich as soon as the clock striked 12 am on the 15th of October via EMAIL!!!!!

This is a strange strange process but be it as it may, it is very true that acceptances go out at the most random times not just on the weekdays.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Twins are fun. I have twin cousins who are now 11 and starting to have crushes and "boyfriends". And I remember when they were born. They used to have a secret language between the two of them which drove the rest of us crazy. But be warned, when one of them starts crying, it is almost guaranteed the other one will. They give you a sheet with decision dates and tell you that's when they do it... no idea why they still wait. But it appears they're still scheduling interviews barely into october, given when one of my friends just got hers.

is this calling in earlier than oct 15th a common practice? I know i'm not applying to the "school" you all were referring to, but i think my interviewer was hinting that they would know if i was accepted by October 1st.. and that i could call in and check.

I'm hoping to find out Oct. 15 or 16, because I have an interview on the 19, but i need to fly out for it and I would end up missing 3 days of work. Although, the interview is in Florida, so it would be nice to just fly down and celebrate instead of going to the interview.

I'm definitely in favor of this thread...okay, until yesterday the idea made me slightly nauseous, but yesterday I had my first interview and I think it went fairly well (okay, one definitely went very well, the other...?)....so now an October 15th countdown thread inspires a bit of hope!

I definitely miss the MCAT countdown thread (although I certainly don't miss the MCAT countdown)--it was what got me hooked on SDN, all that companionship in suffering.

I can't stand the waiting!!! Especially because the school I'm waiting from, Tufts, is my top choice!! If there are any ADCOMS from Tufts reading this, yea, I love your school. At work, everyone is asking me when I hear from them, and will I continue working when I get my answer. But isn't Oct 15 a Sunday? So the letters won't eb mailed out until Monday? I'm afraid to call just in case it's bad news. I'd rather read it in the comfort of my own home.

If I get a waitlist, I won't be soo disapointed, but I really really want to go. Although it seems like if I get in right away, it would be too easy, and my life just doesn't work like that.
