It's not like this stuff doesn't happen in other fields. In medicine, the M.D vs. the D.O designation. They do the same things but the latter schools are a lot easier to get into.
I also have to say this seems more like an American problem, really.
As I mentioned, we don't have this many providers in Canada. We have Phd Psychologists and some provinces have Masters-level Psychologists..but we don't have all these other mental health providers.
