Hey Everyone,

I've been looking around SDN, Reddit, etc., and I haven't really found a topic that compares just using Tarascons and Up-to-date vs having Mass's Pocket Medicine vs the UCSF Hospital Handbook.

Any suggestions on which combo is better? My institution gives us free access to the iphone up-to-date app, so i'm wondering if I had a little Tarascon's in my pocket for my IM rotation along with up-to-date if that would be enough, or if I should also consider getting the Pocket Medicine book (although a new edition comes out in November....).

Thanks for any suggestions! Much appreciated.

UCSF Hospitalist Handbook is pretty sweet and it's only $20.

Sent from my SM-N910P using SDN mobile

Agree. I thought it was very useful when I remembered to use it (had the app) but otherwise found myself defaulting to UTD & forgetting HH.

The benefit of UCSF is that its available on your phone

I used both UCSF & Pocket Medicine. I feel Pocket provides more of the physiology, pathology etc while UCSF is more of "this is what you do"
