This game just reminds me of high school, in which case I will never win.

I remember when I used to feel like you are right now. In a way, you're right in the sense that people are less inclined to lynch established players over noobs, but it isn't because we like them more, it's because they're more useful due to having more experience. If you keep playing, you'll eventually end up not being slaughtered early on, and you'll end up making it to the end game and learn exactly why wishing to make it to the end game is a pretty masochistic thing to ask for.

So I was just making some facetious comments, which I guess are easy to freak out over because, hey, it's the internet. I really don't think making a blanket statement about my "competitive" nature or ability to contribute to the world was warranted though. As everyone keeps saying... It's just a game.

With this grave knowledge, the group decided to...randomly vote to add someone to the list. Near the end of the day, a certain new member of the group came under suspicion.
"Whatever guys. It's just a game," said Chel, shrugging her small shoulders and grooming one tall ear.
"What?! These are our lives at stake here! This is sirius bizness!" said BI.
Due to her flippant, defeated attitude, the characters decided they had found the correct target. Santa quickly added her name to the naughty list and she was pushed out into the cold.

You have lynched ameropean_chelsea, Hocus Pocus, the rabbit who could steal Professor Hinkle's hat and give it to Frosty.

It is now Night 2, deadline is 8am EST but midnight is preferred.

You guys should read the Southern Vampires thread. My very first game. I put up a ridiculous fight when DocE called me out on shenanigans, but I gave it my all anyway. He called me out and I did my best, and have zero regrets that he got it right that I was playing like I was already converted based on figuring out my character was probably going to end up wolf even though at the time I was still villager. Nothing like the pitting of good and evil to get a good chess game going.

Sure it is just a game. But think about this. Facetious has a negative connotation to it. Why would you choose to be so negative? Many of us enjoy playing this game immensely, and it is because it pits one mind against another. It is a murder mystery that can be a blast to try and solve. If the players of the game refuse to put their all into it, it is boring. I just don't understand committing to something, even if it is a seemingly lowly game of WereWolf, if you aren't going to give it your all. Like I said, that is just my personality though. I think a good majority are more like you though, and just don't view it that way. That's fine. I just get frustrated with it since I don't understand it.

Yes, good catch! Perhaps the naughty list is simply the lynched and there is some flux between the naughty and nice list. Which would be convenient if all the villagers pleas of innocence are as convincing as @ameropean_chelsea 's. 😉

The night's events actually make me quite sad. Here we have the Abominable Snow Monster of the North (also known as The Bumble), who had made friends with the other Christmas characters, but was unable to communicate with them in anything other than grunts and charades. But he was a peaceful creature, and could do no one any harm. He knew that if he stuck around long enough and worked hard at it, he could learn to communicate with his new friends. But sadly it was not to be. His body was found in the middle of Christmas Town. It appeared that someone had taken some icicles from the houses and used them to stab him repeatedly.

Dead is JaynaAli, The Bumble, who could only communicate via grunts and pictures unless she made it to the final 7 players in the game

In other news, it would seem that someone has an important announcement to make...

It is now Day 3. Deadline is 8pm EST (though writeup may be late due to travel)

That almost makes me happy that someone wanted to convert me lol. That must mean that someone is interested in finding my precious gold and silver and taking them for themselves!

I revealed to him since I'm pretty unimportant and didn't have anything to really hide and I wanted to stop a potential bandwagon from forming against me. He hasn't revealed anything to me.

I believe it is because STL figures he is a probable wolf based on the people chosen for seeming conversion/death. I think I will wait just a bit to see if he checks in either via PM or thread.
