Pre-med dreams (as in, when you're asleep)

Last night, my brain decided to take a break from the "It's your wedding day and you never hired a florist!" nightmares it gives me every few weeks and give me a good dream about the MCAT.

All I remember is that I got a 39T. 😀 14 in BS, 14 in PS and 11 in VS (it might have been a 37T with 13s in PS and BS but it was astounding either way). It was vivid man... I was freakin' elated until I woke up and realized it was only a dream. 🙁

Anyone else have any good, bad or funny pre-med dreams to share?
 
Let's see...

I once dreams there was a penguin teaching me Orgo through music.. (This is why you shouldn't watch Happy Feet while studying)
 
I had a dream once where I was surrounded by premeds that have bland dreams. . . .go figure.
 
I woke up sweating! Not knowing what the heck had happened I looked at my clock and was in utter shock!!! I was 10 minutes late for the MCAT!!! 😱Frantically trying to untie myself from the sheets strapping me into the bed, I managed to escape. I didn't even brush my teeth or change out of my Transformer's PJs. I ran across the lawn and got into my car. I was certain I either stepped in dog feces, or I had soiled myself in the rush. Breaking almost all traffic laws known to man, I parked in the handicapped space in the staff lot. I raced to the MCAT center and when I got there, pale, anxious, insane & feeling an asthma attack coming, I finally found the classroom moderator. :scared:She looked at me as if I was a crack addict who came to beg for spare change. She didn't even hesitate and called security, who tried to wrestle me to the floor as I was screaming "PLEASE NO!!! I NEED TO GET IN!!! MY LIFE IS OVER!" AHHH!
I woke up...I still had another 2 weeks until the MCAT.

😀 Oh man, I love insane pre-meds.
 
I have this regular, recurring dream. It's normally the end of the semester and I just realize that there is a class on my schedule that I haven't gone to all semester and that I go and beg and plead with the teacher but she won't let me make anything up and so i'm screwed.

That being said; it has recently manifested itself as me realizing in like mid june that I forgot to turn something important in and will not be able to attend medical school that coming fall. I'm really maybe a little more neurotic when I sleep than when I'm awake.😴😱

your biggest wedding nightmare involves not having flowers? clearly you haven't watched bridezillas.

Haha, I have the exact same dreams!!! Well almost, mine usually ends that I don't realize I have that class until the day of the final, and I go take it, because I have to, even though I hadn't been there for a single day of class.
 
I had two hot and sexy dreams about getting into Baylor.

The first one was just about getting the call and everything like that.

The second dream was more about being a student (it was a really weird dream too...)



My dreams came true last friday!
 
Last night, I had a dream about being stuck in a movie version of trigun...it was absolutely bizarre and that guy from the movie "hackers" who was Cereal Killer (matthew lillard) was cast as Vash. 😕
 
Last night I had a dream that I was driving 200MPH and got a ticket. The police officer was the guy from CSI and he gave me a $1000 ticket. I actually woke up thinking I had to pay my ticket today.

Another one was a couple of days ago and I work at Sacred Heart ( Scrubs hospital) and I am on the roof and Todd pushes me off the roof as in Todd FIVE!..BAM! That one was weird.
 
I had a dream the night before I was supposed to receive a med school's decision that I was put on their waitlist; woke up and that's what happened. A few weeks later I had a dream I got an invite and an acceptance from another school. Let's hope the pattern of fulfillment continues. I've also had a recurring dream that I've either 1.) signed up for a class and forgot I did so ultimately flunking it or 2.) forgot about a scheduled exam and ended up frantically studying at the last minute. I think these are common amongst other students as well. Nerd nightmares😴
 
I had two dreams where I received giant envelopes in my mailbox from schools that turned out to be rejection letters. For some reason, the second one had a stink bomb in it.
 
I would love to post some of my dreams, but you guys would have me committed... 😳
 
I had a dream the week that the first acceptances for med schools in texas were given that I had travelled six hours to one of the med schools to check my email there to see if I had gotten accepted (the school was UTMB). Apparently a lot of people had done the same so people were everywhere around me on the computers checking their email and everyone was getting accepted...I got to a computer and my inbox was empty, and I kept refreshing it and still nothing. I woke up panicking
 
I had a dream last night that all of my friends got interview invites... even though they didn't apply.

Edit: This is significant because I don't have an invite. OH GOD, WHY?
 
I have a recurring dream where I go to class, and realize mid-way through the day that I don't have any pants on.
 
While I was filling out AMCAS, I had a dream that you had to put your license plate number and car make/model/color in case an adcom member saw you on the road. He or she then had the right to pull you over and tell you the adcom's decision right then and there.

When I was studying for the MCAT, I had dreams every few weeks where I got my scores. At first, it was a 41 (and I was terrified there had been a horrible mistake). Then, a 33, then a 29, then a 24, then the last one I had was a 16....

How would that give me worse nightmares? Maybe it would give my fiance nightmares, but not me. 😉

I had a dream a few weeks ago when one of the pulmonogy docs that frequents our unit was a cop. He pulled me over for something VERY stupid like creeping thru a stop sign. I cried and begged for him not to give me the ticket... I can't remember if he let me slide or not. What's funny is that that doctor is always pleasant. I think I had the nightmare because my driver's license had expired and I hadn't renewed it yet because the stupid DMV never sent my camera card. I was terrified of getting pulled over for anything.
 
i had this dream yesterday, that we are in the same class with searun (which is never happening since i prolly didn;t even apply to his med school). so we are seating in class, and he takes out a whole fish and serves it to me right there in class. so i am eating this one tasty fish, and after i am done, i realize that the whole class is looking at me (including the prof). i start blushing, and run away screaming.:laugh:

now when i woke up, i realized i was spending too much time on SDN. I will def. cut down if/when i am accepted somewhere.😀
 
i had a dream that i took the mcat and never clicked on my answers for the verbal section. and didnt realize until it until i went home after the test....probably the scariest dream i've had since i was 5 haha, i actually woke up in the middle of the night and was relieved that it was only a dream.

I had this one dream the night after my Baylor interview. I found out that my husband was cheating on me and the woman was pregnant. Then, in the dream, I realize it's a dream, so I wake up only it's to another dream that's the same and I ask my husband if he cheated on me and he just keeps saying that he never loved me. I keep finding out about more and more ladies he's cheated on me with.

It was so crazy.

ok. this is the worst one so far. my grandma told me that if you have this really bad dream, the opposite will happen to you in real life. she is very superstitious. so according to her, your husband must love you really much😀
no worries.

So lets say you're dreaming about what you described and all the while you know it's a dream. In your dream, did you try to do something to him that you would not in real life in order to get even?
 
I had a dream once and then I wrote a book called Alice in Wonderland based on my dream. Maybe some of you have heard about it?

no, i just kept freaking out and trying to wake up, but it was the same dream every time. 😱

I didn't die. I just decided to keep a low profile. I cannot die because I have royalties to collect. It's true that I don't look as good as I did when I was 85, but I am still going strong!!!

wow. yeh, i remember. you were such a stud then.
 
With alarming frequency, I dream that I am late in submitting a project/paper or that I have not studied for a test. Sometimes I remember my dream vividly and wake up with a whirlwind of activity to get me through my morning routine faster. Other times I don't remember the specific dream but can recognize the anxiety as having come from the same dream. I usually realize 5-10 minutes after waking up that I am literally worried for nothing and settle back down. Wouldn't be so bad, I guess, but I graduated in May and have had the same dream ~15 times since. Don't procrastinate.

I also sometimes wake up into paralyzing fear. As in, I realize I am awake and afraid of something, but cannot move, feel like I'm suffocating, and am literally incapacitated by fear. People I have described these to say that they're called "night terrors," but I have never bothered to google it to see if it's a widely occurring thing. Sucks though, and I wake up the next morning feeling like I have not slept at all. Always always remember these, but never have any inkling of what I was afraid of.
