After hearing all talk on these forums about U Minn tuition hike, I decided to investigate for myself:
Ok so last year:
In 2012
1st year fall/spring: $53k (OOS)
2nd year beginning summer: 8k (resident) 14k (OOS)
In 2013
1st year fall/spring: $59k (OOS)
2nd year beginning summer: 9k (resident) ???k (OOS)
Ok so tuition is increasing 11.5% yearly it seems!! Compared to 5% which seems to be the case for other universities (e.g midwestern)
If this remains, then tuition for all 4 years will be for OOS:
73K (1st year), 81k (2nd year), 89k (3rd year), 98k (4th year)
=341k
This is 341k in tuition without books...I really wanted to go to this school but...Why is tuition increasing so much at this school??
compare this to buffalo which is 338k INCLUDING books and living expenses for OOS..

This is Minnesota's old tuition table:
