elastase...you seem to have a tough decision on ur hands....out of pure curiosity, how do u intend to decide between the two. Its a great dilemma to have, but im sure its tough. Which way are u leaning

so I want to know if anyone is in my situation...

I was waitlisted by UCLA MSTP, i STILL haven't heard anything from MD. So I call them up thursday morning.

What i was told is that a waitlist by MSTP automatically means a waitlist for MD. They said they didn't even have my file! RIGHT on the MSTP waitlist letter, it indicates otherwise. Additionally, people who were rejected MSTP got a separate decision from the MD committee, some of who were accepted. That would make no sense if a rejected MSTP student has a chance to get accepted but not a MSTP waitlistee. I'm not exactly sure what to do. I guess I will call the office again on monday for clarification.

Anyone have any suggestions or still haven't heard?

Sh¡t dude, that's what I was afraid of. I'd call the MSTP office and ask them if they have any idea how many people are *really* coming to UCLA so far. Just from SDN, there are 5. Then you're gonna have to decide whether you should hold out on MSTP, or withdraw so you'll actually have a chance on the MD waitlist. Tough call.

I still haven't heard anything (early Apr interview). I think I am actually going bald from the stress of waiting.
