I have submitted my application YAY! And now just waiting to hear if I'll get an interview. I'd like to plan as if I'll be interviewing by learning about the MMI. Virginia-Maryland adopted this in January and I think the c/o 2014 has to interview with this style --- oddly enough their new medical school is using the same system so maybe they're trying to make all interviews the same for them. I know there are confidentiality agreements but there has to be some way to prepare. I especially want to be ready because VMRCVM is the only school I applied to --- it's where my family lives and my husband is in medical school at Marshall so it will be close to him. It's just a good fit for me and I have to be super prepared for everything!!! Any helpful hints folks? 🙂

I attended an application information session for VMRCVM held my Dr. Ragan at the Avrum Gudelsky center. She said that the questions are confidential (although I've seen a few people post one or two they encountered). She did say that each question/scenario targets a specific quality, such as empathy. She also said that being yourself is really the best thing you can do in those scenarios and that there isn't any way to prepare for the questions (no guarantee that you'll get one of the leaked questions, anyway). She mentioned that they're adopting the style because some of the studies they did/read said that people that perform well in these interviews are more successful doctors or veterinarians.

Hope this helps!

That is basically what I'm hearing as well but its nice to hear from someone that actually heard that from them. 🙂

Supposedly this is going to become a more common interview styles because it is a more reliable predictor.
