Hey everyone,

Was just curious if anyone has heard anything regarding acceptances, interviews, etc. from any of these schools? It's hard watching a lot of other schools sending out acceptances and interview invites on here and I have not heard much from these schools. I submitted apps in September. Thanks for replies and help in advance and good luck
 
For Samuel Merritt, I was told "Applicants can receive an invitation for interview any time after 10/15 up through late January".
 
I got this email from Samuel Merritt:

Thank you for your interest in the Samuel Merritt University Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This email confirms that we have received your application from PTCAS. Applications will be reviewed throughout the fall and interview notifications will be sent in late December. Interviews are scheduled for February 2, 2013. We will contact you directly if we need any additional information or have any questions regarding your application.
 
I spoke with the admissions director at Chapman in early December and she explained that for all applicants that applied with no courses in progress then their applications are currently being reviewed and decisions will be made by mid-late January. She said for applicants with courses still in progress will not hear anything back until they have submitted their fall transcripts. Hope this helps!
 
bythebay, I got that email as well and have heard nothing since. Just curious if they've started sending out invites yet. Guess I am just anxious and worried. Thank you all for your replies, they do all help. Good luck
 
I'm also waiting to hear from Chapman and a couple other southern california schools. Unfortunately, I am finishing up my fall semester this week so I'm not expecting to hear until I send in my grades. Anyone hear from Western U?
 
For sam merritt, you should get your invite around Christmas (or your rejection 😡:scared:)
 
Hey dbj,just curious how you found that out? Havent heard from samuel merritt in a while. and yea, I sure hope not a rejection...
 
On Samuel Merritt's website it indicates that interview notices will be sent out on 12/20 by 6pm (this Thurs eeek).

I'm a first year DPT student at WesternU and we had our first group of interviewers come in last Friday.
 
I got my interview invitation from Merritt today! It was in my spam folder so check there if you haven't already.
 
Me too! It was also in my spam folder. If you use Gmail you will definitely want to check there.

I haven't heard anything back either. I checked my inbox and spam folder. Nada. Seeing as how some people already received their invitations for an interview I hope this doesn't mean we've been rejected.
 
Yea, even if I am rejected I would rather just know. The website said all correspondence would be emailed out yesterday if your app was in before December 10 I believe, which mine was. I am wondering if I should email or call them? I would like to know before the holidays, so I can put my mind at some sort of rest
 
I would give them a call. It could be that you are on a waiting list. Some people will decline the interview so they can't be done sending them out right?

University: San Francisco State University
Major: Recreation Minor: Nonprofit Administration
Overall GPA: 3.4
Pre-Req GPA: 3.8
GRE: V: 159 Q: 156 A.W. 4.5

Extracur: Chair of American Humanics Student Organization, Post college career in adaptive adventure sports (9 years)
Volunteer/Hrs: Acute Care at Kaiser 112 hours, Inpatient NeuroRehab at Kaiser 40 hours
 
I called the admissions office but the woman in charge is out until next wednesday. I emailed Lizzie right after I got off the phone so I'm still waiting for a reply.

I didn't know they had a waiting list to be interviewed. On the website it's either invited for interview or denied.
 
I'm just guessing that if some people decline their interviews they would invite more but I really have no idea...

Darn, I am guessing since the deadline to accept an invitation for an interview is Jan 2nd, I didn't get accepted since I have not heard anything...any one else have updates on acceptances, rejections, or info. for Samuel Merritt?
 
I haven't heard anything back yet either. Maybe the bythebay is right. They may see who declines interviews and invite more based on that. I stopped caring; if it comes, it comes. If it's a rejection its a rejection.
 
so if we applied to WesternU and havent heard anything back yet is that a bad sign?

Did anyone receive interview denial notifications from Samuel Merritt ?
 
I haven't received an invitation or denial either. I emailed Lizzie Mayo and she still hasn't responded.
 
As some other applicants mentioned above, SMU invites/denials were sent mid Decmeber and the notifications ended up in the SPAM folders of a lot of emails (especially gmail). The confirmation date for interview was yesterday at 5PM.

Checked my spam folder multiple times and nothing. Wish someone in admissions would let people know if they've been denied or waitlisted for interviews so the anxiety could be eased
 
Ahhh... I thought UCSF was suppose to release their notifications for interviews today and tomorrow (January 4th and 5th) but now the website says January 8th! A couple more days of waiting anxiously. :scared:

What! At least I can feel better that I didn't get a notification today, but like you, I'm fairly anxious about getting this interview. 🙂
 
I saw this after obsessively checking my email all day! Anxiously awaiting December 8th now...

Got my invite yesterday evening too! I am so stoked on finally getting some correspondence from one of my potential programs and positive opportunities at that! Still waiting to see what happens with Samuel Merritt and Chapman, but UCSF made my day! Now to focus up for this interview

Yes! I am planning on going to the Open House on the 8th. Should be fun!

I got an interview to Samuel Merritt which was in my spam folder. They had their deadline to accept Jan 2 but if you didn't respond, they called you to confirm. For some reason my email did not go through so thankfully they did this for me.

Also, I had a question about UCSF. I applied there and have not heard anything from them (i.e. interview or rejection). When I log into my application is says "under review" does this mean they haven't finished deciding? Or should I assume I didn't get an interview?
 
Has anyone that received an invitation to interview to SMU received a follow-up email re: Schedule for Interviews? The original email said that they would send the email out no later than January 14, 2013 which is tomorrow.
 
Haven't gotten follow-up yet either. I guess we'll find out tomorrow

Information from Samuel Merritt came today via email. This time it hit my regular mailbox instead of my spam. I have a morning interview...anyone else? Good luck to all!
 
I also have a morning interview. Check in is at 730am, super early. 😴
 
I am planning on applying to chapman and on their website it states that one can have two science prereqs and one nonscience prereq in progress when applying... so im planning on taking classes this spring 2013, summer 2013, and fall 2013 (term when i plan on applying), but i believe i will still have one science prereq left to take in spring 2014. just to verify... does this go along with what they are saying or... should i be done with everything by the end of fall 2013? sorry if this is a little confusing... im just trying to be sure that i am planning my courses correctly! thanks!
