no no no! we can't give up hope. I'm sad too but I really think that her death will cause some to become, for lack of a better word, enraged that her life was stolen-and thus decide to take up her example and follow in her footsteps.

That's what I believe, and that's what I'm praying for anyway.

Yes, that is the case with me-the further away the residency is from my in laws, the higher I rank it.

Wish there was a veterinary ortho residency available in Antarctica.

Yeah, that works soooo good to dry wet helicopters after washing them. Dries horses too. But we don't get the special zorbees, we just get the...what the heck are they called... Chamois! that's it.

Just curious what makes her a role model? Seriously? I know a little bit about her but she doesnt strike me as Mother Teresa or anything.

😕 Have you heard her speak? She had poise and conviction, and to me was a female role model for strength and intelligence. Maybe she was no Mother Teresa, but for me she didn't have to be. She willingly risked her life for a cause she believed in, and for that and more she has my respect. In my book, this is a lot harder to do than helping the poor. I guess we all pick our own role models for our own reason, but this page was mine, and I picked her.
 
for me, compassion and initiative are much easier to come by than bravery, and so I admire those that had it. Unfortunately, the vast majority of these people (MLK, Malcom X, Gandhi, JFK) are murdered

She was the first democratically elected female head of state in the Muslim countries. (I'm not saying that right-the countries ruled with muslim law is what I am getting at)

Quite a feat considering that many "enlightened" countries like our own haven't coughed up a democratically-elected female head of state yet 👍

By extending the recall time and number of tours of duty, even though he had already went on 2 tours and wanted to retire as his time came up, they basically told him he could either reenlist with a bonus or be called back in without one.
