But padding is so much easier on the brain.
 
Did a presentation on a poisoning today.
 
Quite an interesting one too. Figured I'd do it so that I can learn something useful.
 
I learned how it is important to ask about herbal meds.

Then again, I only go in if I can't solve the problem (come up with a diagnosis) and/or I need a script.
 
Guessing the green light is lying. Guess I'll go watch some tv and probably fall asleep (that's how well the studying was going - I think I saw my eyelids more than the paper).

Dab nabbit! Well, at least I post more than once a day. I just made that rule up because I got tired of Ectopic's drive bys! :laugh:
 
I have been trying to find my adorable godchild a b-day gift for the last hour (online, of course!). Kids gifts are so complicated!

Yes, kid's toys can be difficult. But, they do say the originals are what enhances their brains to think somewhat abstractly and come up with ideas, so maybe the simple toys are better. My sister gets legos or a crayon and coloring book from most of us. Also depends on how much you want to aggravate the parents - noisy or not noisy.
 
Taking a study break. Finding it really hard to study after having the exam this week. If we only had a day off after every exam...
 
The notes keep piling up, just can't study. I've listened to all but one though.

at least YOU are done with all your interviews! i have one more to go... i woke up this morning and had no idea where i was... its such a bizzare feeling

we used to have all of our exams on monday, so i would declare monday my day off because i had to study all weekend for the quiz

I am soooooo tired. but I can't sleep damnit. Stupid Orthonut, got herself dependent on sleeping next to Mr Orthonut who snores like an anaesthetised un-intubated bull elephant, now she can't sleep when it's quiet.

today was a long day
 
but it was fantastic!
 
and i got to meet h24g and have chocolate shots.... or at least watch her drink her chocolate shot while i ate my strawberry frosted vanilla cupcake
 
my friend (who is going into internal medicine) joined us for part of the afternoon... on the train ride back, he turns to me and says, it really disturbs me that there are two of you... she is just a black version of you... the world can't handle the both of you!
 
h24g is smokin' hot by the way...
